If the robot stops painting but continues to drive, there could be a number of reasons. Press STOP on the tablet and follow the steps below:
Check paint and hose
- Make sure there is sufficient paint in the paint container.
- Check if the transparent suction hose is pushed all the way to the bottom of the paint container. If the paint hasn't been shaken or has been sitting for a while, there may be a thin layer of clumped paint at the bottom of the container. In that case, it might help to lift the mouth of the hose a bit away from the bottom, so that these globs don't get sucked in.
Check nozzle
- Check the nozzle to see if any paint residue or dirt is blocking the paint from flowing freely.
- Dismount and disassemble the nozzle.
- Rinse the individual pieces with hot water and a soft dishwasher brush.
- Mount the nozzle again.
If this does not solve the issue, please check the pump.
Check pump
- Go to the Cleaning menu in the TinyLineMarker app (Tools > Cleaning).
- Press Rinse system. This will activate the pump.
- Listen to see if you can hear the pump activating. If not, the pump is defect and you should contact support here.
If the pump is working, you should check the paint flow.
Check paint flow
Paint residue and air pockets may cause blockages in the spray system. It's sometimes possible to remove such blockages using hot water.
- Disconnect the transparent suction hose at the filter. See image below.
-
Go to Tools - Cleaning in the TinyLineMarker app.
-
Press Rinse system. Alternatively use the yellow button (only Sport and Pro X)
-
Hold the end of the hose that runs into the pump up in the air above the pump.
-
With the pump running, pour hot water down into the small opening of the suction hose
-
If the system is still blocked, try to gently blow air through the transparent tube using a compressor. Continuously check if blockage has been removed.
-
If the blockage has been successfully removed. Pour hot water through the system, and let it circulate for the next 30 minutes.
-
Insert the hose back into the filter and make sure it is firmly connected.
If this does not solve the issue, please contact support. You can find the contact information here.
