To select the correct projection, follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Find the name of the projection used for the DXF or CSV file.
- Step 2: Go to Settings > Position > Projection in the TinySurveyor app and search for the projection name. The projection list in the app contains national/international projections and can be found by searching for the projection name, e.g. RD2008 or the EPSG/ESRI code of the projection. The EPSG/ESRI code can be found using an online database like www.epsg.io
Tips for projections:
- Projections from the list can be edited using the Edit Projections function in Position > Projection > Edit projections. From here, projections defined in a PRJ file can be imported.
- The projection should be set to None(m), None(ft) or None(us-ft), when external equipment is sending the Northing (y) or Easting (x) coordinates to the robot, e.g. when using a total station.
